PEAKS Testing
Testing will be the first thing in the morning, so after the announcements, getting set up, and hearing the directions, students typically start at about 9:10.
Elementary skiers must return their ski gear this week. Bring your boots, skis, and poles to school in the morning; or drop off gear at the Wax Room on Wednesday from 3:30-4:30 or Friday from 3:30-4:30.

Starting to work with sites on scheduling games based on the Intentions Google Form that was filled out.
State NYO
2021 Senior NYO Games, starting April 5 – April 30. Athletes in grades 7 – 12, from across the state, may compete anywhere that supports safe and social distancing, at no cost. All participating athletes will receive a 2021 Virtual NYO Beanie as a thank you for their participation.
This years’ Senior Games will consist of TWO competitions:
Virtual Competition: Athletes will submit their attempts, via video submission, within three one-week timeframes in the following events:
Week One: Alaskan High Kick, Scissor Broad Jump, and Wrist Carry.
Week Two: Two-foot High Kick, Kneel Jump, and One-hand Reach
Week Three: One-foot High Kick, Seal Hop and Toe kick
Medals will be awarded to the 1st – 5th place winners in each event.
Live Stream Competition: The top five athletes that place in the Virtual competition, in the following events, will compete in their hometown via live stream:
Alaskan High Kick
Two-foot High Kick
One-foot High Kick
Medals will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners in each event.
Attached are the dates for the 2021 Senior Games events.
BSSD will award the top finishers from the district.
Traditional Spelling Bee
Yupik Bee - Wednesday at 3:30 PM (Participants: Stebbins)
Inupiaq Bee - Thursday at 7:00 PM (Participants: Brevig Mission)
Both events will be on the Student Activities FB page

Academic Excellence information attached
HS only - must have a 3.7 GPA or better in first, second, AND third quarter. Must be over 3.7 in all three quarters.
