As we head into the holiday break, please review the attached Open Gym holiday schedule. Open Gym will be closed December 24–25 and December 31–January 3, with all other listed dates remaining open.
As a reminder, all students attending Open Gym are expected to come during their assigned time, follow staff directions, use respectful language, share the court, and take care of the gym and equipment.
Important Student Expectations:
-Students must leave Open Gym at the end of their scheduled time unless accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Older siblings and relatives do not meet the expectation of a guardian.
-Students may not hang out in the foyer, enter hallways, or horseplay outside of the gymnasium. Open Gym activities must remain inside the gym only.
-Climbing on or sitting on the tall bleachers is not permitted for safety reasons.
Consequence:
Students who do not follow these expectations will be asked to leave Open Gym and will be placed on the Gym List for the following day. Unsafe or disrespectful behavior may also result in loss of Open Gym privileges, as outlined in our UNK Open Gym Expectations.
